Technical University suggested

The politicians and stakeholders have pointed out the need for a technical university in Province No. 4 to end the burgeoning unemployment rate and deploy the youth human resources in the country itself.
During an interaction programme organized by the taskforce constituted by the Social Development Ministry of Province No. 4, the stakeholders and experts recommended for the establishment of a technical university.
Social Development Minister of Province No. 4 Nardevi Pun said that quality education was today’s need and added that the university should duly focus on research-based education.
She argued that the skilled human resources can be produced in the country and unemployment problems of the educated ones could be addressed by utilizing their skills.
Likewise, parliamentary party leader of Nepali Congress of Province No. 4 Krishna Chandra Nepali said that the province should establish the technical university on its own resources.
Province Assembly members Meena Gurung, Bindu Thapa, Mahendra Bahadur Thakali, Min Prasad Gurung, Omkala Gautam, Pushpa KC Bhandari, Prabha Koirala, Mohan Regmi, Binod KC and others said that Prithvi Narayan Campus and Pokhara University could also be developed as the technical university by taking approval from the federal government.
On the occasion, Prof Dr Ganeshman Gurung, the coordinator of the provincial university and technical education establishment taskforce, said that the taskforce members reached all districts except in Manang of the Province No. 4 to collect the feedback from the academicians. He said that the final report would be submitted soon.
