The District Forest Office, Bajura on Monday provided financial aid to Kanchana Ukheda of Badimalika municipality-9, Bajura, who was injured in a bear attack.
She had sustained critical injuries when the wild beast pounced on her while as she was collecting green fodder at a forest nearby home last December.

Forest Officer at District Forest Office, Bajura, Dan Bahadur Shrestha shared that a cheque bearing Rs 196,112 was handed over to her for treatment as per the legal process.

Ukheda had lost her left eye in the attack, shared her relative Madan BK. Her health condition now is normal after the treatment. Her relatives have expressed confidence that the financial assistance of the District Forest Office will further help in her treatment.
