The Bhirkot municipality in Syangja district which had been facing problem for lack of its own office building is finally going to have the facility after five people volunteered to donate four ropanis of land to the municipality.
Local philanthropists Govinda Kumar Karmacharya, Bhimlal Karmacharya, Phatta Bahadur KC, Rudra Bahadur KC and Indra Bahadur KC transferred four ropanis plot in their name at Darsingh Bhorlakuna in the name of the municipality.
The land plot donated to the municipality is worth Rs 20 million.
The foundation stone of the municipality’s office building was laid at a function on Friday after the land plot was made available.
Mayor Chhayaram Khanal on the occasion thanked the land donors for their generous support to the municipality. It is stated that the municipality office building will be constructed at a cost of Rs 100 million within two years. (RSS)
